Len, my husband is USAF Retired C-130 pilot. He sent me the CAMBIOSE video and it is hysterical. What is the story on it? What a Riot.

The Imax was not the only 3d version showing at Aliso Viejo. I found it to be really a very good movie to watch. I didn't go for the story too much. Cowboys and Indians and the Indians win (not PC comment, but that is the plot), was not that inspired. With a production like Avatar where one has to commit to the story and all of the rendering will be by CG later, you can't change much on the sets as you shoot. I think that showed in this movie.

I think that the characterizations of the technology, etc. were too "ordinary", considering that they postulated that somehow humans of 150 years hence had managed to travel to a remote star system.

Also from a larger critical eye, the planets orbiting the large gas planet are pretty, but they would have been torn apart by tidal forces like the outer planets here. When you go to a distant start system, you still have physics.

I am guessing that the effect that they had found and exploited was magnetism, and you are right about the affect of it on electronics. It doesn't discriminate.

Also to the production, they must have hired every CG operation in the industry, and in NZ from the credits, but the hanging miniature which was the large planet was the same many times, and that part of the credits was only 4 lines long.

Avatar really impressive movie, and it will be interesting to see other stories told with this capability. Hopefully this will be similar to Star Wars in bringing this sort of technology to film making.

Interesting. I thought some of the same things as we watched Avatar. Yes, youmust see it at the Imax. Hint, I found the 3D to be better toward the rear of the theater.

Len, your Resume link on this page (http://lenandersoniv.com/index.php/12/30/red-dead-redemption/) is broken. Found the PDF elsewhere, though.

The picture is great, but doesn't look like the outdoorsman that I know. How is the fishing show idea coming? We are slaying 50 pound stripers within a matter of minutes up here in the Chesapeake Bay. later ,Todd
aka MO Herbert
